A report is a formal, written recording of physical events onto paper. It is concise and consists only of facts, no opinions. It is written in the past tense.
How To Write A Report:
Write a summary, also called an Abstract paragraph: Summarize what the report is about. You can do this after you write the full report.
Write an introductory paragraph. Introduce the topic of the report.
Here are some Body paragraphs:
Statement of the Problem paragraph: State the problem based on facts that the report is bringing attention to.
Analysis of the Problem paragraphs: Analyze the problem based on the facts.
Research paragraphs: Share insight into and research of the facts that lead to or determine a course of action to take.
Recommendations for Future Actions paragraphs: Give recommendations based on the facts of what to do in the future so the problem doesn't happen again.
Concluding paragraph: Restate the problem and the solution.
