Although the book is thick and appears intimidating, the story within it never feels lengthy or tiresome. In fact, now having read it, it's quite understandable as to why it has been at the top of the "New York Times' Best Sellers" list for so long. The writer does well to keep the reader thoroughly engaged through his charming style and use of colorful vocabulary. The pace of the writing ebbs and flows naturally like an organic conversation between friends. Once you pick up this book you'll truly find it difficult to put down. This is a new classic that I highly recommend all to read.
